Patty Sokolecki Smoot, Photographer
I am always always looking for the unusual, an image that makes my heart race and my hands tremble with excitement. I call it “An Epiphany”. It’s an image that calls to me and makes me appreciate being alive. Photographers are always searching for the right camera, but there really isn’t one. I find occasions to treat myself to a new toy. One camera I recently got for my birthday was the Fujifilm X100V. Looking at You tube I followed all the tutorials about street photography and ordered one of these vintage cameras. I haven’t learned it yet but carry it around with me. Another camera I love is my Widelux F8, a panoramic Japanese camera with a 140 degree range of view. I will show you some of my favorite images with my many cameras. I love to inspire people. It doesn’t matter what camera you have cause it’s the hunt for that Epiphany of an image that makes you happy and heals your heart.
